Illuminati – Beloved of the Conspiracy Theorists

1$ note of the American Currency has an eye symbol on the top of the pyramid called the Eye of Providence. It expresses that God is watching and protecting us; that’s the reason the Founding Fathers of the United States adopted it as a symbol of the nation’s trust and belief in the Divine.

 

If you look closely at the ‘Pyramid on the one-dollar bill, it looks different from the pyramids that are found in the States. So what does it look like? 

Egyptian Pyramids. 

The theorist believed that the Illuminati is obsessed with Egyptian culture and used their signs to communicate and pass orders to the common public. The eye on the note represents that they are watching you, your every move, or you are under their surveillance. However, the question remains the same: who and what is the Illuminati? Let’s crack this mystery:

What is the Illuminati?

• History of the Illuminati

The Illuminati was a real secret society founded on May 1, 1776, in Bavaria by Adam Weishaupt, a professor of law at the University of Ingolstadt. Weishaupt was a strong advocate for the Enlightenment ideals of reason, individualism, and freedom. He was also critical of the Catholic Church and the Bavarian monarchy, which he saw as obstacles to progress.

• Goals and Beliefs

Weishaupt established the Illuminati to establish a new order of educated people who would fight to eliminate ignorance, religious dominance in public life, and tyrannical government. Originally, Illuminati ranks and degrees were organized similarly to those of a Freemason lodge. Weishaupt modified the Freemasonic model by doing away with any mention of God and having members take an oath of absolute obedience to him.

• Dismantle 

The Society’s membership increased rapidly as it attracted people from all walks of life, including those from the upper class, academics, and the working world. However, the Bavarian government began to suspect its motives due to the group’s secrecy and Weishaupt’s increasingly autocratic leadership. Bavaria’s ban on secret organizations in 1784 led to the dissolution of the Illuminati.

• Existence?

Despite the group’s supposed collapse, Illuminati members persisted in hiding. But its population shrank and it never again wielded the power it once did. Many 19th-century conspiracy theories focused on the Illuminati, portraying them as a sinister, cabal of Satanists or occultists bent on world domination.

Symbols 

• The Eye of Providence:

The symbol is an eye inside a triangle, sometimes with rays of light radiating from it. It has religious connotations and is affiliated with the Illuminati.

• The All-Seeing Eye:

Similar to the Eye of Providence, it often has a more sinister appearance and is used to represent the Illuminati’s control over the world.

• The Pyramid:

Symbol of power and authority is repeatedly associated with the Illuminati – the pyramid on the back of the US dollar bill is a good example.

• The Owl:

Insignia of wisdom and knowledge, time and again, used with the Illuminati.

• The Skull and Bones:

Representation of death and mortality, this logo has the Illuminati connection too. Some secret societies, like the Skull and Bones Society at Yale University, also use it.

• Connection with Other Secret Societies

The Illuminati’s relationship to other secret societies is tricky and disputed. Historians are split on whether or not Weishaupt was inspired by Freemasonry, with some arguing that he was skeptical of Masons and considered the Illuminati as an opponent group. According to historical records, the Illuminati might have communicated with other secret societies, including the Rosicrucians and the Order of the Golden and Rosy Cross.

• George Washington’s Concerns

George Washington, the first President of the US,  was worried that the Illuminati would try to destabilize the government and society of his country. He thought that disseminating false information, sowing strife, and manipulating public opinion were all possible through the use of secret groups.

Secret societies have been a source of worry for Washington because of their capacity to incite violence and topple governments. In 1798, he penned the following letter to William Russell:

“I have heard much of the Illuminati’s nefarious and dangerous plan and doctrines, but never saw the Book until you were pleased to send it to me. I do not intend to doubt that the Doctrines of the Illuminati and the principles of Jacobinism had not spread in the United States.”

Many early Americans shared Washington’s concerns about secret societies. In 1798, lawmakers responded to concerns that underground organizations were plotting to overthrow the government by passing the Alien and Sedition Acts.

• Members – World leaders and Celebs

There is no evidence to support the claims that any influential people are members of the Illuminati. However, some of the people who have been alleged to be members include:

• Business leaders: Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg

• Musicians: John Lennon, Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, Kurt Cobain, Tupac Shakur, Biggie Smalls
• Authors: J.K. Rowling, Stephen King, Dan Brown
• Religious figures: Pope Francis, Billy Graham
• Others: David Rockefeller, Henry Kissinger, Albert Einstein

They Kill?

There is widespread belief that the Illuminati is to blame for the untimely demise of numerous well-known individuals. 

There are various hypotheses as to why the Illuminati might be responsible for such atrocities. There is a theory that members of the Illuminati are being eliminated one by one to keep the public from learning the truth about the group. Some people think the Illuminati is murdering innocents in occult rituals or to appease Satan. Well, these posts on X (formerly Twitter) tells otherwise – Jeffree Star
